Like all good design concepts, my initial idea was quickly sketched on a loose piece of notebook paper. Following the Deflategate mayhem, a design that featured a round about way of sticking it to Goodell seemed most appropriate. I drew the type in Illustrator and digitally painted the hand, later emphasizing and outlining the hand in Illustrator.
3x superbowl champion matt chatham
My sign, accompanied by the yelling of my grandmother, caught the former Patriots linebacker's attention. With a good laugh, he asked to take a picture of the sign and tweeted it out to his 22.6k followers. The image caused quite a stir in Patriots Nation, eventually being created into several memes, and leading me to design t-shirts.
Most recently Matt Chatham, was seen wearing my t-shirt on the alumni duck boat, at the Super Bowl LI Champions Parade in Boston, MA.
